Dating back over 250 years, The Ship is one of London’s last remaining independent pubs. Steeped in history, this Grade II listed building remains true to its roots, and wears its heritage with pride. Combining the best of the old with the best of the new, we offer a wide selection of beers, ales, wines and spirits in a traditional British pub setting.

Our beautiful upstairs saloon bar is available for hire Monday to Friday. With exclusive use of your own well-stocked bar and widescreen TV, it’s a lovely, unique space to hold a party, meeting or simply to cheer on your favourite team over a pint.
The Ship has been standing proudly on the corner of Hanson and New Cavendish Street since 1772.
Originally licensed in 1777, when it was known as The Centurian, it has been a familiar face in an ever changing neighbourhood.
Located in the heart of London’s bohemian Fitzrovia, The Ship has stayed traditional with its decor, drinks & values. Family owned & run for over 60 years, it is one of London’s last remaining truly independent pubs.
Within easy walking distance of Oxford Circus, Goodge Street, Warren Street & Great Portland Street tubes, it’s the ideal location for after work drinks, a spot of lunch or a private party.
